Duara - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Caner Gülgeç ("Android DevLab", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in the Duara mobile application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data practices of our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. This information is used solely for authentication and to enable cloud sync of your preferences and premium subscription status.

1.2 Location Data

The App accesses your device's location to provide the following features:

• Prayer Times: Your selected city is used to calculate accurate prayer times.
• Qibla Compass: Your location is used to determine the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca.
• Nearby Mosques: Your location is used to discover mosques in your vicinity via Google Places.

Location data is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers.

1.3 Locally Stored Data

The App stores certain data locally on your device to improve your experience. This data never leaves your device unless you use the cloud sync feature:

• Favorite Quran verses
• Dhikr counter progress and saved sessions
• Cached prayer times and nearby mosque data
• App preferences (language, notification settings, calculation method)

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Authentication – for Google Sign-In. Privacy Policy
• Firebase Crashlytics – collects anonymous crash reports to help us improve app stability. Privacy Policy
• Firebase Analytics – collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how the App is used. Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat – manages in-app subscriptions (Duara Pro+). Privacy Policy
• Google Places API – used to find nearby mosques. Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob – may display ads in the free version of the App. Privacy Policy
• Aladhan API – provides prayer time calculations. No personal data is sent to this service.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core features (prayer times, dhikr, Quran, qibla, mosques)
• Authenticate users and manage premium subscriptions
• Improve app performance and fix crashes
• Understand general usage patterns through anonymous analytics

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except as described in the Third-Party Services section above. These services only receive the minimum data necessary to function.

5. Data Retention

Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. If you sign in with Google, your authentication data is retained until you sign out or delete your account.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information handled by our App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You can:

• Sign out of your Google account within the App at any time
• Clear all locally stored data by clearing the App's data in your device settings
• Uninstall the App to remove all associated local data
• Contact us to request deletion of any data associated with your account

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
